Week of Sept. 21

Thanks for all of the help "engineering" the theatre last week.  We will be going back on Monday/Tuesday to finish up.

Then, on Wednesday/Thursday we will get back to 3D modeling your carts.

Things to know how to do in Inventor:
  • Create a project folder
  • Know the difference between a part (ipt) and assembly (iam)
  • Download a file from a website, open it in Inventor and save it to your project folder
  • Edit a part or assembly (basic edit like cut metal bars)
  • Constrain parts.  Two main types are face mating/flushing, and then inserting.
You should be able to demonstrate EACH of these during the first half of next week as an individual quiz grade.  You will be quizzed AS you can demonstrate it, do this in order.

Friday, if all goes well, then use Inventor to make something for 3D printing!
